“Owned media is the media owned by the brand.” It is a vital part of a company in order to create brand awareness to the consumer. Branded content is vital for effective owned media and is becoming increasingly popular. Online video allows companies to display their products for longer than 30 seconds. Their are many effective content videos for example Purina created a “Dear Kitten” series in partnership with Buzzfeed, the series has been viewed more than 40 million times on Youtube and has raised brand awarness and recognition.
